I'm not quite sure how to begin broaching this subject. Perhaps I'm just not as eloquent today as I was two days ago, or will be tomorrow. But it has to start somewhere, and I'm in the mood to write it (that is pensive and slightly melancholy and in want for talking to my flist), so why not do it in the here and now?

I have three assignments that I really should be working on (actually, truth be told, I was working on yours, melusinahp, but...I needed a break. I feel like I should be posting more than just fic in here, y'know, stuff that happens outside the realm of contemplating what the fuck happens to these characters when we walk away from the story. But I'm always working on fic. Or so it would seem.

I'll probably watch after Quidditch starts up. Horror of horrors, I actually haven't seen it the whole way through, because whoever was putting it up on YouTube crapped out after Wood teaches Harry about Quidditch, or said, "Y'know what? Fuck this, I quit." (Srsly, lame.) I've seen CoS through OotP, but not the beginnings. Hm. I'm sure there's something Freudian there, but I'm far too lazy to analyze.

So, barring any contemplations from Mr. Longbottom as he makes his way from the Great Hall to the hospital wing, you'll see what happens to Ginny in the next installment. I'll warn you right now: It won't be pretty. I must say that I seem to be rather taken with this series of events. I plan on signing-up for the Dark Fest when sign-up happens in August(?) and I'm thinking this might be the backbone of a story.

Finally this evening, a bit of Remus/Sirius. I'm not feeling this as much, though it was fun to write. I don't read a lot of Marauder-era fic (although, I'm trying to rectify that), so you'll have to forgive me a bit for some liberties with characterization; the above DH-inspired stuff has me spellbound (ugh, no pun intended), so, this is I have for you, brighty18 and loveangelsiri (it's a bit subtle, but you can read into the James/Sirius thing if you squint, IMO, but maybe that's just wishful thinking).

Lately, I've been thinking about what branch of fic to reach out into first. Right now on my check-list I have: Drabbles I need to finish for the people who were nice enough to drop by and leave prompts, the Harry/Draco pr0n that has stemmed from the lovely suggestion by lijahlover, and then...my big project.

Y'see, this Xmas break, I really started becoming interested in Hogwarts during Deathly Hallows and one thing led to another, and before I knew what was what, a gaggle of plot bunnies were nesting in my head. And ever since, I've been doing some thinking about what was going on while the Trio was out camping (srsly, was that necessary, JKR? 200 pages of camping? Really?) and was making up a list of what I'd like to see from that school year.

Now. This is where you lovely people come in.

I'd like to get crackalackin' on that fic of the soon, but first, I'm thinking a little research (or at least discussion) is warranted, don't you? So. In as many words (or comments) as you need/find appropriate...I'd really like to hear your thoughts on what was going on at Hogwarts during Deathly Hallows. I know that we know a bit about what happened, but...perhaps you're seeing something I haven't even thought of. It's definitely worth an ask.

Okay, I saw this on lavillanueva's eljay and thought, "What the hell?" I need to get in the habit of writing every day, and the plot bunnies I'm currently pandering to are being stubborn as my muse and I'm not writing anything I like. It's all crap. So, I figure, if I have demand for something...I'll be far more inclined to write, and (hopefully) my muse will be far more inclined to get off her ass and help me already. So, here we go:

ATTENTION: I will write a drabble/ficlet (the story ends when I feel it should end, which doesn't always happen around 100 words) for anyone who requests it. Feel free to post this meme in your own journal if your leanings are fic-related, but lurkers and voyeurs are certainly welcome! I'd appreciate a comment if you're here to read, but I obviously can't force you to do that. Request the character and/or the pair for the Harry Potter fandom (as that is my main shiny right now; however, if you see a fandom in my interests that you're a part of, you can request something from there, too) as well as a brief description of what you're looking for (angst, fluff, pr0n, etc.).

NOTE: I recently got into several pairings that I never used to read (i.e. Marauders fic, Harry/Draco, y'know, the obvious ones), so if characterization is a bit on the sketchy side, I'd appreciate any constructive criticism you can offer, being a newbie and all (yes, yes, g'wan and heckle the newbie, I can wait). First, I must say that it's upsetting to find trusted encyclopedic websites with spelling/grammatical/continuity errors. Additionally, going onto the Lexicon (because, clearly, no one would have a clue what I was talking about when I say, "the Lexicon") after the legal kerfluffle with JKR is a bit unsettling. Anybody agree? Disagree? Don't care? Bueller?

Hi, I'm aparecium13, if you hadn't noticed already (*Rolls eyes at self*). And this is my humble corner of the intarwebz. I've never really had a fandom-centric journal before, so I'm not sure what the deal is regarding what you should call me. Ideally, it would probably be my real name, wouldn't you think? But I'm kind of liking this whole anonymity idea. So mayhaps a nickname is in order? Or just the user name? Hm. Valid thoughts, all. I'll have to mull over them.
